Naval
Air Museum
(N.A.S. PENSACOLA/entrance Through Main Gate) Open daily 9:00
a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Free admission. Only museum in the world
devoted exclusively to Naval Aviation. Aircraft displays, hands-on
jet trainer, aircraft carrier exhibit, Imax Theater and much more.
Cameras welcome.
HISTORIC
FORTS
(N.A.S. Pensacola/Main Gate Entrance/Part of Gulf Islands National
Seashore) Here you can tour the Pensacola Lighthouse 91858) and
a number of old forts which were built to protect the bay from
Spanish Colonial to pre-Civil War period.

WENTWORTH, JR. MUSEUM (South Jefferson Street) See a life-long
collection of area relics, artifacts, and memorabilia.
The
Gulf Breeze Zoo
(U.S. Highway 98/Gulf Breeze) Visit the wildlife at the Gulf Breeze
Zoo, located just minutes from Pensacola Beach. The Zoo
is home to more than 750 animals, mammals, reptiles, and fowl,
displayed in their natural habitat. The tour is both entertaining
and educational. Open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. seven days a week.
OUT OF TOWN ACTIVITIES
TOMAHAWK
LANDING
(12 Miles North of Milton on Hwy. 789, Phone (850) 623-6197) River
camping or full hookup sites at campground. Picnic, swim,
canoe, or just sunbathe on a white sandbar beach. Trips available
for novice and experienced canoeists. Tube floating also available.

and hiking with bay view.

ROSA ISLAND RECREATION AREA
(FLA 399 from Gulf Breeze to Pensacola Beach/East on Via de Luna)
Facilities ten miles east of Pensacola Beach. Boating, swimming,
snack stand, etc.
FORT
PICKENS
(FLA 399 from Gulf Breeze to Pensacola Beach. West on Fort
Pickens Road) Open daily. Recreational area with two picnic
grounds, hiking trails, swimming, and fishing. Marine life
museum aquariums, shell and native exhibits, historic artifacts
- all a must to see! 165-site campground some sites with electricity).
Campground with store and laundry facilities.
PERDIDO
KEY
(Southwest on FLA 292) Johnson Beach - swimming, sunbathing,
fishing, and hiking.
